16 Feb 21 Burger King at Truck Stop
Tuesday 16 Feb 21.
I woke up at 8 and let the dogs out to pee. Instead of brewing coffee I went to the Burger King located inside the Pilot Truck Stop and had a couple of cups of coffee. It was the second Burger King in the St George area that didn't have senior coffee. I guess with all the seniors in the area they would lose to much revenue. In the way out of the store I asked how long I would have to wait until a shower was available. I was the first on the waiting list so I went back to the RT and gathered my stuff. I discovered I didn't have a razor so I bought a couple from the store. The shower was very nice. It was basically a small bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. They supplied the towels and soap. I took a very long hot shower. It has been 8 days since I last showered.
After my shower I went back to the RT and working on my shower project. I found a disinfectants spray bottle and use the spray nozzle for the shower sprayer. Not a lot of volume but at least it is conservative on water. It will do in a pinch.
I made a ham and cheese sandwich and had it, some chips and half an avocado and ate outside on a picnic table. It was a bit cool but okay with my hoody on.
I decided to stay another night at the Truck Stop. Tonight I'm parked in a little quieter location, but honestly I can sleep through almost anything with the exception of Pete moaning. I'm apparently programmed to wake up at the least little peep from him to prevent an accident.
For dinner I nuked a can of beef stew. I was able to receive 4 TV channels so I watched TV while eating. At some point the TV went blank from lack of power. I can make it through one night on battery power but if I stay more than that I am in trouble. I won't be able to run the furnace tonight. I really need to get a solar system.
